About Us
Looking for a perfect getaway?
Dinokeng Camp & Leisure Lodge is a privately owned lodge situated in the malaria free Dinokeng Reserve next to the Big 5 area (but inside the main gates of Dinokeng Reserve) 20 minute drive from Pretoria and 45 minute drive from JHB. Rustic self-catering chalets with braai. Communal Lapa, boma and kitchen-area for your own comfort. We have 24 caravan stands, with beautiful communal bathrooms and 16 private ablution stands. Water and electricity point. We also have 5 rustic tents with electricity etc. Home to bush babies, impala, blue wildebeest, njala, blesbok and servet. Open-vehicle safari rides available to Big 5 (additional fees) and Bush Spa (additional fees).

Latest Projects
New Heated Indoor Swimming Pool with roof, etc
One project that is complete is the new warm water swimming pool we have built. We envisaged to build this pool closed and a roof somewhere in 2024 and this was achieved. This will be a pleasure in winter and also for those that prefer a warm water pool. This is situated next to the existing cold-water pool and just to the side of the volleyball court. As you will see on the pictures found in “View Projects” below this is now available to our guests. We are looking forward to giving you a WARM welcome 😊
4 More Camping Stands with Private Ablutions
Another of our projects is the creation of another 4 paved stands for campers. Each stand will have their own private ablution. These stands will then increase the number of stands with own private ablutions to 16. Each stand is discreetly placed in the bush so campers will have the “wild” feeling. Easy access to both swimming pools as well as tuck shop.
Entertainment area and reception in progress
This project is in process and roof is constructed and paving underneath it done. The two “snoepie” trailers and a pool table has been placed there for all to enjoy and support.
Layout and ideas are flowing at the moment so we are not sure what it will look like but we do know it will be done on same standards that you see in rest of our resort. So…..Keep watching this space…..

We have been in this industry a long time and our years of experience is now being applied to make this resort our Pride and Joy, therefore transferring all our combined knowledge of what works and what is needed to make this an experience that you will be able to enjoy with us. Whether you are a camper or a guest in our chalets, our aim is to make your stay a pleasurable experience and for you to keep coming back and back again for more…. This does not mean we are not open for suggestions as we believe to stay current and in touch with our guests needs. Please do feel free to suggest improvements or new project to the owners and we will listen to all suggested. We might not be able to do them all but who knows what the future holds…

Easter Weeekend
We planning a games day for all to participate in. Volley Ball, Fastest Lap in pool, Spoon walking, Tou trek, etc
Christmas Eve
As has become custom by Dinokeng Camp and Leisure Father Christmas makes a turn at our camp to handout presents to all kids, this event happens at the Christmas Tree located by Pool area. Families to provide a gift for your child to be placed under the tree. Please mark it clearly with the child’s name.
Christmas Day at the Pool
This an excellent oppertunity for the whole family to come cool down at pool area and spend the day together. Dinokeng Camp and Leisure will provide the braai’s and you are welcome to bring your Wood/Briquettes, meat etc to have a relaxing meal at the pool area.
